Bookbinding workshops Autumn 2026

Here are my bookbinding workshops for Autumn 2026. These group workshops are suitable for a range of abilities: from beginners and improvers. I’ll be adding more workshops as the winter draws in.

1. Drum Leaf Binding Workshop

Where: Graphic Studio Dublin
When: 10am – 4pm, Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October 2026

What: In this workshop, you will create your own artist book using a Drum Leaf structure. This style of binding allows for double page spreads which lie completely flat creating the perfect display book for prints, drawings, paintings or photographs.

2. Medieval Sketchbook Workshop

Where: Graphic Studio Dublin
When: 10am – 4pm, Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd November 2026

What: This workshop will focus on creating soft back sketchbooks based on medieval bindings. We will look at various long stitch techniques to create a series of traditional bindings with a modern twist.

3. Flowerfold & Accordion Books Workshop

Where: Glór, Ennis, Clare
When: 10am – 4pm, Saturday 28 November 2026

What: This 1-day workshop will explore a variety of handmade sculptural bindings. We will create no-stitch books, making several soft-back and 1 hardback book from different flowerfold and accordion variations.
